WHY A HOME INSPECTION?

A professional inspection will give you the confidence and comfort you need to complete this major purchase decision.

Certainly with older homes, you will want to know any impending repairs or maintenance concerns. Newer homes may even benefit from repairs which are covered under the new Home Warranty Program.

We encourage you to attend the inspection with us. If this is not possible, we will thoroughly review the process through our video and answer all of your questions.

Upon completion, your inspector will show you the video, answer your questions, give his view of the present condition of the home and provide your detailed report and Castlerock Home Reference Manual.

Home Inspection Services:

After the offer is accepted: This is the norm in the inspection world. Once you have the offer accepted, give us a call and we can set up a date to meet up within your condition time to assess the house.

Pre offer: This can be done in a full form inspection just like the norm. Or a short version in case the house is going into a multiple offer situation. It’s not the full inspection, but can give you a quick overview of the important issues.

Post Purchase: Yep, this can happen too. Not a problem at all, we can do the whole inspection or the short version to help make a list of ‘to do’s’ for your new home!

Why Castlerock?

Combine this experience with an inspection degree from Mohawk College and necessary OAHI training courses, your inspector will give you a prompt, fair, and an unbiased analysis of your new home’s present condition.

FAQ

What is a home inspection?

Technically speaking a Home Inspection is a visual check of the accessible major systems of the house.

Practically speaking we will be testing and checking all accessible areas and components of the house to make sure they working and safe.

Can I come to the inspection?

Yes for sure, we prefer it! What better way to find out what’s going on with the house, plus it’s a great opportunity to slow down from the craziness of showings and take the time to look around.

What do I need to do while at the inspection?

It’s no pressure with Castlerock, you’re welcome to follow us around during the inspection, or measure rooms and windows etc… Whatever you like. Before we leave, we will watch the video of the inspection together so you’ll see the goods, the bad’s and the ugly’s and then we can discuss any concerns.

How long does a home inspection take?

Depends on the age & size of the house/building, on average give it about three hours.

How much is the inspection?

Again depends on the age & size a bit. Give us a call anytime for a free quote or just to ask any more questions!
